STAUB & CO. - SILBERMANN GmbH and its employees donates more than 2,000 euros to charitable organisations

Three charitable organisations around the company's three sites receive donations for their projects.

Every year, the works councils at the three sites in Nuremberg, Gablingen and Munich donate a certain amount to charitable organisations. This year, € 700 each went to:

  • AWO day care centre at Gablingen primary school
  • Dominikus-Ringeisen-Werk in Kloster Holzen
  • Atemreich children's centre in Munich

What happens with the money?

The after-school care centre at Gablingen primary school needs the money for its own film project on the topic of "children's rights". They made this short film with the after-school children and invited them to the premiere. Ms Johanna Kamissek, Junior Personnel Officer (second from the left in the picture) was on hand to hand over the cheque together with the head of the after-school care centre, Ms Strixner, and staff from the after-school care centre.

Dominikus-Ringeisen-Werk is using the money to build an inclusive and barrier-free playground. The plans include child-friendly learning stations on the environment and nature, wheelchair-accessible wooden walkways and a swing forest. Nicole Adamek, Marketing was here on site with Mr Arnold Pfeiffer, the overall manager at Kloster Holzen.

"Our donation was definitely well received," says Helmut Weisl, Works Council member for Munich. He presented the cheque to Mrs Fleckenstein from the Atemreich children's home in Munich. Some of the children who are cared for there have to be ventilated around the clock. The children's home also has a paediatrician who is responsible for the 18 children. We wish all the children all the best.

Where does the donation come from?

The donation amount results from two campaigns each year:

  1. Honey proceeds
Three beehives at the Gablingen site produce a lot of honey every year. This year, a fourth was even set up. The company's own honey harvest is bottled in 500 gram jars and sold to the company's employees. The entire proceeds from this honey sale are doubled again by the management and made into a round sum.
  2. raffle
At the beginning of the year, there is a raffle for all employees at the three sites. The raffle is equipped with promotional gifts and our own advertising materials. Employees buy their winning ticket for 2 euros, because every ticket wins. "The raffle is always an exciting project," says Lara Jäger, Assistant to the Management Board, who is in charge of the raffle tickets. "Everyone who buys a ticket is really excited about whether they're going to get a pen or a special bottle of wine for 2 euros. So many thanks to all the employees who support the donations every year."
